Plot summary:
Dancers start in all black.
As the piece progresses,
elements of white that are
hidden in their costumes are
gradually introduced.
The piece climaxes when the
lead dancer pulls a copious
amount of white silk from her
cat suit and covers
all the dancers with it.

The task at hand was to illustrate the birth of the universe with this dance.
My creative solution to that was to hide a projection screen in the dancer's "stomach" that would make her look pregnant.
That screen had four ropes connecting its edges to a system of pulleys.
During the climax of the birth dance, the pulley system was activated and the screen instantly shot out of the dancer's "stomach," hiding her behind, while - in the same instant - imagery of the universe projected on the screen.
